The Latest

On Wednesday afternoon I wasn't feeling the best. When Halley got home from school I told her how I had a bad headache. She sent me to my bed to have a little nap and told me when I woke up there would be a surprise. Sure enough 45 minutes later there was a totally awesome surprise. The living room and Rhett and Abby's room were spotless(which had been a pretty big mess), and they had made Ty's bed(he was at scouts). It was seriously one of the best surprises ever, it was all I could do to hold back the tears. It meant so much to me that they had cared how I was feeling and worked together as a team. We had a BIG group hug and I thanked them over and over.

I did feel a little better but still had a headache. I was worried I wasn't going to feel well enough to help with and attend the Relief Society birthday dinner that night. I applied some past tense oil and prayed in my heart for help. I think it was about 5 minutes after returning from the church I realized that I hadn't noticed my headache once at the church but now it was back. I know the Lord helped me with my headache so I could learn from the sweet sisters in our ward and fulfill my duties.

On Thursday Rhett got to take his puppy for show and tell. There have been many times over the years that my kids have wished they had a pet they could take for show and tell. If I'm being honest I never felt that bad that they didn't because I never wanted a pet of any kind. That being was so fun to see how excited Rhett was to share his new best friend with his class mates!! I really wish I could have taken a picture but it was a bit crazy trying to keep Ruby from being too excited.

Abby just started with a little cold. When I was tucking her in bed  she was coughing a bit. I said to her "Do you have a frog in your throat?" Her reply cracked me up,"Not a REAL one Mom!" I really needed a good laugh, thanks to Abby for making it happen.

The Many Faces of Miss Mae

In honor of Abby turning 20 months today I thought I'd share all the different facial expressions she gave me during our photo shoot earlier this week.

I just can't get enough of our adorable Miss Mae. She brings so much love and laughter to our home. We can't imagine our family without her. Mmmm, how do I pick just ONE of these cute pictures for the wall?!

It's Time

I never thought I would be saying this but WE ARE GOING PRIVATE. I have been getting a lot of odd comments lately from people I do not know. So now that I'm officially creeped out it's time. So if you want to be able to take a peek once and awhile leave your e-mail before it's too late.

One and a Half

Wow, I can't believe my baby is 18 months old. She keeps life so exciting at our house. I know there will come a day when I miss not having a little one who is always learning and discovering new things. Now that she is one and a half she is LOVING. . .
                                             Corn on the Cob
                                                                      The Beach
                                                                   Face Plants
She has gotten really good at going up and down stairs lately. So good that she thinks she should just walk down like big kids do. It doesn't always go how she'd like it to, as you can see in the picture. The other day she tumbled down the back cement stairs face first.

Other 18 month facts. . .
-She has 12 teeth
-Doesn't really like to eat meat
-Climbs up onto everything (mostly the kitchen table)
-Likes reading a book with Mom before bed
-Can say NO
-Wants to eat her food with a utensil
-Can drink from a cup  by herself but would rather not
-Likes finding her belly button and wants to see everyone else's too
-HATES nursery, hopefully not for long

Aonther Great Day

We had to get a little work done before we could have fun so the kids walked around the neighborhood and helped we deliver my Relief Society invites. They did such an awesome job it would have taken me so much longer by myself.

When our work was done we all got ready to go swimming at the North Shore swimming pool. The kids have been waiting patiently for the chance to go. I didn't take my camera so no pictures. Bummer!! We sure had fun though. It was nice to see how much fun Ty and Halley had together going down the slide and just hanging out with each other.  Rhett was nervous about the slide but after one time down with his dad there was no turning back. Jason was so good to take him over and over and over.

After the pool we went home for a little rest and then off to football practice we went. Yep, one sport ends and then we move on to the next. Ty has been begging for years to try Bear River's youth football program, so we finally decided to let him try it out.

He is the one right behind the coach with his leg stretched out just waiting for the whistle to blow so he can take off.
They have to run several times during practice. This time he was struggling to keep his pants up. Oh the troubles with being so skinny. He didn't stop though just held  on and kept going.
Halley wanted to play with the camera while we waited for Ty. I was pleasantly surprised when I seen this one she took of Abby.
After practice we headed to Carol and Kraig's. We ate dinner and then it was time to work with the lambs because it's almost fair time. Love this one of the boys watching Jason catch the sheep.
Ok sheep it's time for a walk.

Quality time with Grandma
It really was a wonderful day just being together as a family.

Water Party

I'm not too good at letting the kids invite friends over so we got it over with all in one day. Each kid got to invite a couple friends over for lunch and fun in the water. We even went and bought a slip and slide just for the party. Ty's friends were Dilon Wright and Kevin Campbell. I over heard Dilon telling Ty he couldn't sleep the night before because he was so excited for the party! That made it all worth it for me. Halley had Kaylan and Kyler Lamb. Rhett's buddies were Kaden Hill and Cooper Thompson.
Having lunch
Everyone anxiously waiting as Jason fills up the water balloons.
When they ran out of water balloons we filled cups up with water
so the girls could sneak out and drench the boys.
Ty being silly with his friend Dilon.
Ty and his friends thought it was a great idea to form a
tunnel over the slide. Here they are waiting for Rhett.
Through the tunnel he goes. Love the look on Ty's face!
